Worship is the heartbeat of our life together at Hosanna.  A committee of enthusiastic volunteers works with the pastors and Director of Worship and Music to plan worship throughout the seasons of the church year; recruit readers, ushers, and communion assistants; design banners and decorate our worship space; repair hymnals; arrange seating—the nuts and bolts of weekly worship!

Everyone is welcome at worship.  We have large-print bulletins and children's bulletins.  Also available from the ushers are church bags filled with quiet activities for the use of your children during the service.  If you need to leave the sanctuary, the Social Room across from the office has a speaker on the wall from which you can hear the worship service.

The Sacraments

Holy Communion is celebrated at the 9 a.m. service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays; at the 11:15 a.m. service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays; and at both services on the 5th Sunday of any month and on all festival Sundays.  Throughout the summer months, communion is celebrated every Sunday.

Everyone is welcome at the Lord's Table.  If you are baptized in the Christian faith, we invite you to commune.  If you do not commune, you are welcome to come to the Table for a blessing.  We celebrate communion in continuous fashion, gathering around the Table and moving back to our seats after receiving the bread and wine.  For the wine, we offer either a common cup or individual glasses; grape juice is also available.  The servers will also bring communion to individuals who find it easier to remain in their seats.

A Children's Communion Workshops is offered in the spring for children 4 to 7 years of age.  Should you wish your child to commune before that age, or if they are older than seven, please speak to our pastors.

Baptism We welcome you and your children to our congregation.  As a congregation, we wish to stand with you—before, during, and after the baptism of your children.  Please talk to the pastors for further information about baptism.

Weddings and funerals

For information regarding weddings and funerals, contact our pastors through the church office.
